Prices & How to Order

Each commission is priced on an individual basis. There are several variables and options you to choose from, as well as costs related to travel and framing. Below is a table of costs which should help to calculate a finished price.

Full Archistory

The Archistory service offers two levels of detail regarding the historical account. In most cases the owner might have a few basic facts or pieces of information to go on, but the majority of information will require detailed research. In some cases the owner may have sufficient information and no extra research will be undertaken. The time taken in research is reflected in the final price.

As it is essential to make a site visit to measure the house there are three bands of price concerning travel expenses. Commissions undertaken on houses that are further than 100 miles from central London, including commissions outside the UK, are very welcome. However, the details of expenses such as overnight accommodation and flights must be calculated on application.

All prices quoted are subject to VAT.

Each drawing is produced on high quality cartridge paper up to A1 size (60cm x 85cm). After the first print subsequent prints are charged at £50 + VAT.

Framing & Mounting

Once the picture is finished the best way to ensure that it is presented to the client in immaculate condition is to have it framed before delivery. Dry-mounting (a process whereby the drawing is adhered to a piece of acid-free mount board) keeps the paper absolutely flat and free of any small undulation. It is highly recommended.

Dry-mounting and framing are charged additionally to the prices shown above. Guideline prices are £100 for sizes up to A2 (42cm x 60cm) £150 for sizes up to A1 (60cm x 85cm) depending on the type of mount and frame chosen.

Delivery

Arrangements can be made to deliver your finished Archistory picture anywhere in the U.K or worldwide. Great care is taken with all delivery, as it is important that the finished picture reaches its final destination in perfect condition. Within London and the M25 area there is a modest charge for hand delivery, couriers are not used. With commissions based further afield, clients are welcome to collect their finished picture from our south London studio in order to avoid any further delivery costs. If this is not convenient then delivery arrangements can be made on an individual basis and estimates of delivery costs will be provided in advance.

Detail Drawings

Prices for smaller Detail Drawings such as front doors, feature windows, columns etc. start at £300 + VAT where no site visit is necessary and drawings are up to A4 size (21cm x 30cm).
